What you need to know:
- Main applicant must be in a relationship with an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen.
- Main applicant must be sponsored by their Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen partner.
- Main applicant must be of the opposite sex to their sponsor.
- Main applicant must have physically met and be known to their sponsor.
- Main applicant and sponsor must intend to marry in Australia within 9 months of the grant of the subclass 300 visa.
- Main applicant must normally be 18 years or older.
- Main applicant and spouse must have no legal impediment to them marrying in Australia.
- Main applicant may include children from other relationships as secondary applicants on the main application.
- All applicants will have to meet health requirements.
- All applicants 16 years and older will have to meet character requirements.
- Visa grant provides the holder with 9 months of residence from date of visa grant with full work rights and access to the Medicare health scheme.
