Business Visa Categories

Australia has an extensive business visa portfolio that allows business owners, investors and senior business executives to come to Australia and undertake business activities.  There are also a number of other visa subclasses that have slightly lower eligibility requirements and require state or territory sponsorship as a prerequisite to the visa application being approved by DIAC. Applicants who are applying under the Australian business visa category will have to demonstrate a solid track record as a successful owner of a business of reasonable size and scope. Alternately the applicant will need to demonstrate that they have amassed assets through investment activities. coffee-shop

Most business or investor visa applicants will enter Australia initially on a 4 year provisional (temporary) visa.  When the applicant has shown satisfactory evidence of a specified level of business or investment activity in Australia, they will then be eligible to apply for permanent residence. DIAC have made provision for high profile business and investor applicants to gain permanent residence at the time of visa grant. These applicants would apply under the Business Talent (Migrant) category and would also require sponsorship from one of Australia's states or territories.

Applicants applying under the senior executive visa subclass will be required to demonstrate that they have held a position in the top three levels of management in a major company.   They will also need to show that they have been or are responsible for strategic policy development that affects a major component or a wide range of operations in that major business.  In addition to the above applicants applying under the senior executive visa subclass will also have to demonstrate significant financial assets for themselves and their spouse as applicable. accountant
