Australian permanent and temporary residence visas are available through the child migration and temporary residence visa stream. All Australian child migration category visas require sponsorship.  The child must be the natural, step or adopted child of the sponsoring parent. In certain circumstances an assurance of support (AOS) may be required.

Main visas in the Child Migration category are:-
 

• Dependent child (inside Australia or outside Australia)
• Orphan relative (inside Australia or outside Australia)
• Adoption (outside Australia only)
