Skilled Family Sponsored Visa Subclass 176
- Main applicant must be under 45 at time of visa application lodgement with the Australian Department of Immigration.
- Main applicant must have undertaken a successful pre-application skills assessment (PASA) in their nominated occupation that is listed on the skilled occupations list before the visa application is lodged. Click here to see list.
- Main applicant must meet the minimum English language requirements for their nominated occupation either by IELTS testing or a passport from an accepted English speaking country.
- Main applicant must have 12 in the last 24 months of full time work experience in their nominated occupation or a closely related occupation that is on the skilled occupations list (form 1121i).
- The application must be sponsored by an eligible family member who is an Australian citizen, permanent resident or an eligible New Zealand citizen. Eligible family are: parent, child, brother/sister, uncle/aunt.
- Main applicant must meet the existing points pass mark for this subclass of visa - currently 100 points.
- All applicants must satisfy health requirements.
- All applicants 16 years or older must satisfy character requirements.
- Visa gives permanent residence as at time of visa grant. This visa is valid for 5 years and allows multiple entry into and out of Australia during this period.
